How do you get traffic to your ' Niche ' site, without using PPC like Overture or Google, or spending money on advertising?

There are two things you can spend to get traffic to your website -

* TIME
* MONEY

If you have the money to spend, you can drive instant traffic to your ' Niche Website'using PPC (Pay per Click) search engines. If you ' don't have money ', you'll have to rely on the other forms of traffic generation - and they aren't as quick.

Organic search - the listings you get on search engines and directories - are one such route. It is hard work to get ranked high on Google, Yahoo or MSN on your key search terms - but when you do, the surge of traffic you'll get is unbelievable.

Other effective strategies I've used effectively to drive targeted traffic to my ' Niche Marketing'websites have included:

* Posting on Discussion forums
* Writing articles and submitting them to directories
* Running ezine ad exchanges
* Publishing your own blog with RSS feeds
* Publishing your own ezine
* Doing link exchanges with other targeted websites
* Making comments on other blogs
* Doing joint ventures with other marketers and webmasters
* Press releases

All of these methods won't cost you money, though you'll spend time on them.

Traffic to your website is directly related to your marketing - and the methods listed about getting your ' Niche Website' known are good ones to begin with.

One thing I want to highlight - which many beginners do NOT get right - is the fact that ALL Traffic Is Not EQUAL

Too many people involved in ' Niche Marketing' believe more is better - and run out to drive any kind of traffic to their website, hoping it will directly translate into more sales. Then they get disappointed when it doesn't happen.

What you need to be looking for is TARGETED traffic. Folks interested in what you're offering in your ' Niche Site', eager to get their hands on it, and willing to pay for it.
