Tool Time Carpet Cleaning Equipment
Learn all about carpet cleaning equipment.
Tools were invented by man to do tasks more efficient and faster. This goes way back dating back from the caveman days. They sharpened pieces of wood and chiseled stones turning them into spears which they used in hunting animals.
That’s the same with carpet cleaning equipment. Before, people were contented with the vacuum cleaner. It sucks up dust and dirt. Most of the time, it is the cleaning equipment used on carpets. It is a nifty invention because all the particles are collected in a filtering system which is known as the cyclone. The dirt will be disposed after vacuuming the entire surface. The typical vacuum is the canister vacuum which has a hose where the dirt get sucks into then stored inside the cyclone.
Just as how cavemen evolved into modern men, vacuums were also configured to meet the challenges of the changing times:
1. Back-pack vacs are used for cleaning large surfaces. The user has more mobility and can move rapidly. They are similar to the canister vacuum. The only difference is that it is like a back pack because it has straps. The user has the vac on his back as if it were a knapsack.
2. For the couch, small hand-held vacuum cleaners are enough. These are battery-operated or electric. Very easy to transfer from one place to another. This is often used in dorms.
3. The Powerwand operates easier than the canister vacuum cleaner. It cleans the surface from all directions. What is amazing about it is that it can restore the original color of a soiled carpet.
4. Portable extractors are powerful vacuums. Do not be fooled by how big it is. Like how it is called, it is portable and can easily be moved from one place to another. Because of the bigger capacity to suck in dust, it is more powerful than the canister vacuum cleaner and cleans faster.
5. The Jet Wand’s difference with the canister vacuum is that the handle is thinner, thus why it is called a “wand.” It has the same function. It also has a thinner head, thus it is easier to clean those tight spaces that the canister normally cannot reach.
6. Moving on to other carpet cleaning equipments aside from the vacuum, a carpet rake is needed to maintain the surface’s buoyancy. Constant vacuuming of the carpet can create a difference on the feel of the fibers. The carpet rake is the carpet’s comb.
7. Carpet Cleaning Kits. Make sure that you research on the chemicals in the products. Harmful chemicals are health hazards. There are also chemicals that are hazardous on the environment. For your safety, make sure that you wear gloves and goggles when using cleaning products. Use these sparingly as well.
8. Buffers and Scrubbers are one of the most effective modernized canister vacuums. Often used in hallways, these buff and scrub the surface simultaneously. With cords that go all the way 50 inches, it is so mobile that the user can go from one end to the other easily. A powerful hose can suck the dirt particles and as it is doing so, the surface is also buffed and scrubbed clean by the “brushes” located underneath of the carpet cleaning equipment.
Expect more cleaning equipments to be invented and surfaced on the market, all for the luxury of the busy man.
