Know thy Dust: House Cleaning Information
Are you stuck with a two storey house with way too many corners and bits to clean? Do you have a small house, but bigger problems to deal with than cleaning the drapes and dusting the furniture? Then maybe you need information on how to best clean your house, and who to contact if you need someone to help you shoulder the burden.
House cleaning is a burdensome, but fulfilling task. Whether you're in need of help or tips, take note of the following:
• Think Carefully: Do you Really Need House Cleaning Help? – You may be a housewife without anything to do but clean, but are you sure you can do without cleaning help? Wouldn’t you love to spend more time with your family, or leisure time with yourself? On the other hand, you may be an executive with way too much to do besides clean, but are you sure you won’t need the extra exercise? Wouldn’t you want to stay for a few more hours inside your house on weekends, instead of going for that weekend power brunch?
There is generally no universal rule for gauging whether you need house cleaning help, but one thing is certain: know if you need it before spending your cash.
• Think of Cleaning as Fun! – Sure, you’ll be sneezing through the cleaning, and turning your nose up at the muck you have to get out of your drainage. But think of what you can accomplish if you clean your house on your own: you’ll be able to look at all the old pictures you stashed away, and laugh at the memories; you might be able to find that book you thought was lost, or that love letter you never expected to read again; who knows, you might even collect enough spare change for some coffee and rolls after!
There’s one great incentive to cleaning on your own: the fulfillment at the end of it all, when you see that you’ve left a trail of cleanliness in your house.
• Find a Cleaning Partner – This is a useful tip for anyone who doesn’t want to clean alone, or feel alone. Recruit a friend as a cleaning partner, and do your cleaning together – that is, if your house needs cleaning, you will both have to do it together. And if your friend’s house needs cleaning, then you will both troop over and do some scrubbing. This is a great way to get some cleaning done, but be sure to pick someone with a lot of willpower, who will constantly pester you to keep your place clean.
• Withhold all Information! – If you decide to seek cleaning help, then post announcements in schools or colleges, where most students will most likely be seeking part time jobs. However, leave only a contact number, or an email. Do not leave all your contact information or your address – you don’t want those unwanted entities stalking you!
• Do Research! – There are many ways to clean your house without using harmful chemicals or stirring up a cloud of dust. Read up on how you might rework that weedy garden with orange peel, or how you can buff your leather wares using banana peels.
You may be tired at the end of the day, whether you've been working those calories off cleaning the house, or working in the office while someone else is taking care of your humble abode. Whatever the case, we hope we gave a few good pointers to keep you on your toes (and awake and dancing on your clean, spotless floor).
